La mia passione per i musical comincia in tenera età: alzi la mano chi, da piccolo, non ha mai visto in TV 7 spose per 7 fratelli e Tutti insieme appassionatamente. Nella mia collezione di CD ci sono parecchi dischi relativi a musical, non solo cinematografici, anche quelli di Broadway e qualcosa di Garinei e Giovannini. A questi si è aggiunto di recente un DVD acquistato in edicola: una ripresa teatrale del musical CATS di Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Di CATS avevo un CD e lo ascoltavo volentieri ma grazie al DVD ho coinvolto tutta la famiglia. Dal momento dell’acquisto saranno passati venti giorni: in questi venti giorni, considerando che per una settimana eravamo in vacanza e quindi sprovvisti del DVD, lo avrevo visto più o meno tutti insieme almeno una decina di volte, in sostanza tutti i gironi che eravamo a Roma. I bambini, anche Gnappo, sono impazziti perquesto musical, che devo dire è davvero bellissimo. E grazie al DVd ora in automobile ascoltiamo il CD di CATS, che è un bel guadagno per me e mia moglie rispetto alle favolette o alle canzoncine per bambini.
Dimenticavo: oltre a CD e DVD possiedo anche il libro di poesie di T.S. Elliot, Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats che Andrew Lloyd Webber ha usato come testi del musical. Se ne voletesapere di più c’è una documentatissima pagina di Wikipedia.

At least that’s my experience; your mileage may vary One last bit of clothing advice for page turners: No dangly loose jackets. I once played a whole violin recital with silk caressing my left cheek at every turn. I’m not saying I didn’t enjoy it, but it was kind of distracting.
