In uno dei Tg di questa sera si è tornato a parlare dei rifiuti campani. Il pretesto era dato dai primi arrestati mentre gettavano rifiuti ingombranti nelle strade. Si è passati poi alle nuove discariche e alle proteste degli abitanti dei comuni limitrofi alle discariche.
Dopo i Tg mi faccio un giro su internet e trovo questa notizia su Repubblica.it: “Nucleare, la maggioranza degli italiani vorrebbe di nuovo le centrali”. L’articolo parla di un sondaggio in cui il 47% degli intervistati si professa favorevole al ritorno dell’Italia al nucleare mentre “solo” il 44% sarebbe contrario e ci sarebbero un 9% di non rispondenti.
Le percentuali mutano un pochino quando agli intervistati viene chiesto se sono favorevoli alla costruzione di una centrale nucleare nella loro provincia e qui la maggioranza relativa, seppur di poco, diviene sfavorevole: 50% a 41%.
Io però sarei curioso di sapere, visto che il sondaggio non lo indica, quanti sarebbero i favorevoli se il ritorno al nucleare implicasse lo stoccaggio delle scorei dietro casa. Le centrali nucleari infatti in loco, se funzionano bene, non inquinano visto che non hanno, come le centrali tradizionali, fumi da combustione: quello che si vede uscire dagli enormi camini è solo vapore acqueo. Gli scarti della combustione atomica però poi vanno smaltiti, stoccati, per qualche decina di secoli, e secondo me il 99% degli italiani non li vorrebbe nella sua provincia, l’1% non risponderebbe…
